Fuchs Georg

Biography

Georg Fuchs was a German painter and printmaker based in Munich.

Born in 1881, he produced figurative and religious works and exhibited locally, gaining modest recognition during the interwar years. Fuchs created paintings and prints such as Der Heilige Georg (1938) and maintained a studio-gallery in Munich where he participated in regional exhibitions.

His work appears in auction records and museum catalogues, and he is listed in art reference sources with a recorded death in Munich on 1 November 1944.

Scholarship on Fuchs remains limited, with surviving works known largely through dealers and occasional private collections today
