Seigel Gustav


1880 - 1968

Gustav Siegel was a Viennese furniture designer. He attended the School of Applied Arts in Vienna for carpentry and studied under Josef Hoffmann, later working as a designer for J. & J. Kohn. He pioneered a new era in the design of bentwood furniture, influencing the major design company Thonet as well as other designers such as Otto Wagner.
