A highly respected contemporary Japanese ceramic artist celebrated for her intricate hand-built vessels and deeply tactile surfaces. Working primarily in stoneware, she creates sculptural forms characterised by dense, rhythmic textures inspired by weaving, basketry, and natural growth patterns.
