"Founder of (a) cabinetmaker and furniture factory in Vienna......Niedermoser had a very good reputation as a cabinetmaker. In the period around 1900 J.M. Olbrich often commissioned him to execute his designs. He thus achieved a very high level of skill. His designs evince an excellent sense of proportion and harmony. The materials used are always displayed to their advantage. As a member of the Viennese Society for Arts and Crafts Michael Niedermoser not only exhibited regularly and successfully in the Austrian Museum [today the Museum of Applied Arts] but also took part in many exhibitions abroad."
