Mogens Voltelen was a Danish architect and designer, born in 1908 in Sørup. He studied at the School of Architecture between 1925 and 1927 and went on to be employed by both Poul Henningsen and Vilhelm Laritzen.
From Poul Henningsen, Voltelen learnt the importance of lifelong dedication and joined the cultural movement of the time. He wrote and edited for PH’s Kritisk Revy (Critical Revue) between 1927 and 1929 along with various other publications within the industry.
Mogens Voltelen became and teacher and lecturer and the School of Architecture in 1940 and continued to inspire the next generation of designers for many years. He was also chairman for several architectural and engineering societies and head of research at the Danish Building Research Institute from 1947 to 1951.
