A French decorative artist and designer, and son of a cabinetmaker.
Rene-Jean's aim was to bring design to all people, using simple forms made of affordable materials like plastic, rattan and Formica. He collaborated with designers such as Alian Richard, Genevieve Dangles and Joseph Andre Motte.
His most iconic design was the Diamond Chair which won the gold medal at the Brussels 1958 international EXPO.
