Six Arm Murano Glass Chandelier
by Barovier & Toso
£18,000
Code

Attributed to Ercole Barover, circa 1950
This blown glass chandelier is typical of Ercole Barovier's masterful and delicate handling of his materials. Grand in scale and elegantly executed in Murano glass, the chandelier appears both heavy and weightless, the upward motion of the twisting glass arms challenged by the heavy hanging glass baubles.
Barovier & Toso are one of the oldest businesses in the world, founded in 1295. Their studio is still located in the Palazzo Contarini, Murano, where it was originally founded.
