Digan Pierre

After studying Applied Arts in Beaune, Digan launched his ceramic factory Digan Grès in La Borne, which grew international acclaim in the 1970s. From La Borne to Paris via Limoges and Vassivière, but also Vallaurais, he left his mark, creating sculptures and ceramics workshops, art galleries, restaurants, lodges and residences for artists. He notably co-founded the Sculpture Symposium on the island of Vassivière, a prelude to the creation of the Art Center and the Sculpture Island. He excelled in the production of monumental pieces in granite, marble and metal.
