Rose Uniacke bed-linen has been created in collaboration with textile mills in the north of Portugal, a region well known for its cotton production and associated craftsmanship. Mills in the area are often family-owned and long established, supporting communities of working women who pass their craft and knowledge down from one generation to the next. As such, the chosen linen is a beautifully thick, 100% GOTS certified organic cotton sateen (not be confused with satin!). Woven exclusively in two different colours, Petal and Paperwhite, the organic sheeting is then cut and hand-crafted into designs of Rose's choosing.
 
Care: Bedlinen should be washed separately from other fabrics like towels and blankets. We recommend using washing detergents and fabric conditioners that do not contain optical brighteners as these all have bleaching agents which will fade the sheeting.  We recommend line drying or a low tumble dry and then hung when still slightly damp. This will help to reduce creases and make the sheeting easier to iron. Ironing should be done on the 'cotton' setting.
