OARN was a highly prestigious Italian shipyard based in the Port of Genoa, Italy, responsible for manufacturing and refitting vessels and their interior components. This nautical side table, probably designed by Gio Ponti for the use on a luxury Ocean Liner, includes polished brass inserts which secure glasses, decanters or bottles from tipping over or sliding when the vessel encountered rough seas. Teak is also exceptional with water and remains the gold standard for boat furniture
