Wagenfeld Wilhelm

Biography

Born in 1900 in Bremen, Germany, Wagenfeld is perhaps most famous for his studying and teaching with the Bauhaus in the 1920's. After leaving them he continued to teach and design in Germany throughout the Nazi regime, eventually being sent to the Eastern Front and finishing the war in a Russian prisoner of war camp. Wagenfeld was heavily involved in design until his death in 1990 in Stuttgart.
