Product Description
The Neo - Basque style emerged in the early to mid 20th Century blending traditional Basque Folk Art with the clean lines of Art Deco and Brutalism, creating what might be termed a 'Rustic Modern' aesthetic. Originating in the Basque Country ( an area spanning the border of South Western France and Northern Spain ) it was part of a broader regionalist movement that sought to modernise traditional Basque aesthetics, particularly those of the rural 'baserri' farm houses.
